247 Cherry St

247 Cherry Street, a 77 story, mixed-income rental building comprised of 639 units on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Designed by SHoP architects and developed by JDS, this new offering is sure to enliven the Two Bridges neighborhood in New York City.

Clad in a striking green terracotta and floor to floor glass panels, the tower will stand at 1,013 ft, located near the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges on the east rivers waterfront. A portion of the tower will cantilever, allowing the expansion of the building with the footprint of the tower being only about 9,000 square feet. With landscape design by SCAPE, they plan to bring improvements to common spaces, a new community plaza, and flood resiliency upgrades.
